I’m still not sure what a “Puzzle Walk” is, exactly. Can you tell me more?

Sure! Think of it like a mix between a scavenger hunt and a puzzle room! You’ll be taken on an entirely self-guided “tour” of sorts to various locations depending on which story you choose. You’ll need to find things, decipher codes, and work out riddles in order to proceed to the next location! It’s a great way to work your brain, do a bit of walking, and learn more about various places in Asheville!

How long does a Puzzle Walk take to complete?

Puzzle Walks can take anywhere from 1-3 hours to complete, depending on how long your team decides to stick around certain locations!

Do I have to download anything?

Absolutely not! You won’t need to download any special APP or program to play. All you’ll need is a smartphone with a browser and either a WiFi or Data connection!

I have a Groupon, how do I use it?

First off, be sure to check our homepage for coupons with equal or better deals on our Puzzle Walks! If you do have a Groupon, you’ll still need to complete the checkout process via our website to get your confirmation link. Just select which room you have the Groupon for, then input the 8-letter Groupon code during the checkout process.
If you don’t get all the way to the confirmation page, you haven’t completed the process.
DO NOT REDEEM YOUR GROUPON, that will be handled on our end.

What ages are these designed for?

Puzzle Walks are designed to be fun for all ages, although the puzzles are created to be challenging for adults.

Do I need to bring anything other than a phone?

Your phone as well as a WiFi or Data connection are all you’ll need to complete a Puzzle Walk. We do, however, recommend at least one of your teammates bring along a notepad and something to write with!

How does it work, exactly?

Once you choose a Puzzle Walk scenario, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail along with a special link to begin your session! The link will connect you to our specially designed interactive website where you can begin following the clues for your Walk! If you get stuck, don’t worry! There’s an integrated hint system to help you out!

How many people can play?

Your team size is entirely up to you, but we recommend 2 – 6 players per group. Two heads are always better than one, but too many cooks in the kitchen can hinder your fun! You’re also welcome to split up into separate teams; the confirmation link you receive can be used by anyone in your group until it expires after three days!

What happens if I don’t finish?

Your confirmation link is good for 3 days from the time you click to activate it! If you aren’t able to finish, just pick it up from where you left off and keep going!

Do I get anything for completing the Walk?

Each Puzzle Walk has its own unique story line and its own special way of commemorating a victory!
